8-Bit Phycore Modules

16-Bit Phycore Modules

16-bit microcontrollers offer a scalable upgrade from 8-bit embedded processors.  In addition to twice the bandwidth of 8-bit chips, these devices integrate a larger number of peripheral functions on-chip and provide faster instruction execution and interrupt response.  High-end 16-bit processors offer up to 76 I/O lines and 16 MB linear address space.  PHYTEC provides board-support of a wide range of 16-bit embedded controllers. 32-Bit Phycore Modules

PHYTEC Single Board Computers support 32-bit ARM, XScale, Freescale ColdFire, Freescale PowerPC and AMD x86 embedded microcontrollers, upon which an increasing number of embedded applications are based.  32-bit embedded counterparts have evolved from the x86 and PowerPC processors that once dominated desktop computing and are now tailored for use in a wide range of embedded applications, often running real-time operating systems.  General controller features, in addition to a 32-bit CPU, include: integrated memory controller, PC/AT and LCD graphics controllers; enhanced system and power management; serial ports and essential mobile computing and communication peripherals.
